This was entertaining and hilarious at the same time.....the announcer added a lot of excitement to the racing.

I attended both this race and the 1977 World Final won by Barry Lee. It was a tradition - we went to the Foxhall races during our three-year stay at RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge ALMOST every single time they had them. I saw a guy - don't know his name - killed in a demolition derby there in 1978. We did not attend the 1978 Final due to a PCS farewell party on that day, but we did watch it on ITV.

Barry Lee in my opinion is a cheater. It looks like he uses side skirts that are able to move up and down so he had that extra ground effect. Like some f1 cars used back then, only not sure if by rules it was allowed in the hotrods class

I was at the finals in 1976 and 1977; we were about to leave England and had our going away BBQ that day so we watched this on television. The moment we saw Barry Lee was on the pole, my mom said we might as well leave for the BBQ. She was right.

Back in the day when the leaders had to actually pass and go ROUND the back markers unlike today when they all get out of the way whenever the leaders are anywhere near them!! Much too much use of the blue flag these days.
